Announcement by Rob Peters, Vice President FGMCC:

I wanted to announce that the 2008 Eastern Meet will be held June 27th, 28th and 29th at the 4 Points Sheraton Hotel in Greensburg, Pa. Greensburg is about an hour east of Pittsburgh and for the first time ever we will be having our meet in conjunction with the National Monte Carlo Owners Association. John Harvey and I have been talking with one another about doing a joint meet for a couple years now and it will now be a reality next year. Many in our group are also members of the NMCOA along with being a member of the FGMCC and many of those members would like to attend both of these clubs meets but the cost and scheduling doesn't always allow us to do so. This will bring our clubs together of this one weekend to make new friends and renew old aquaintences.

We announced this at this year's Eastern Meet. If you are not a member of the NMCOA you will still be able to join in the meet but John announced last night that he is offering any FGMCC member who is not a member of the NMCOA a reduced rate to join their club. I encourage everyone to join and hold dual membership in both of the clubs and John will be encouraging the First Gen owners in the NMCOA to join the First Gen Club if they are not already a member.
