Four of us members decided to get together at the Peach City Beach Cruise
in Penticton, BC, Canada in June, 2005. This is a 3-day event
including shows, a cruise, a poker run, and plenty of
live entertainment. The sandy beach along the beautiful Okanagan Lake is
the setting for the shows and makes for great scenery throughout the
weekend.
Friday evening started
off a little wet but dried up enough to still enjoy the evening at the
show. On Saturday, Vaughn and I got an early start positioning our cars in
a shady spot on Lakeshore Drive for the show. The Saturday cruise
followed the shoreline of Skaha Lake on the way to Okanagan Falls. After
dinner, we enjoyed the music of an Elvis tribute artist and other local
entertainment. On Sunday, e cruised to the show and took a few scenic
photos of the three Montes and watched the show's awards ceremony.
It was a joy for April
and I to meet Vaughn and Kathie (and kids), Kevin and Sandy, and to see
Dave and Janet Mau again. We look forward to seeing you all again in the
future.
